FOR HOMESCHOOLING

THE PROCESS SHARED WITH HOMESCHOOLING FAMILIES

Empowering Students through Goal-Setting and Personal Growth

Our program, Visualizing Your Dreams’ The Personal Development Process is designed for educational and homeschool environments; it focuses on meeting students where they are; offering a flexible, meaningful path that supports both their academic growth and personal development. It fosters a collaborative experience between students and their primary educators: parents or guardians.

Each lesson weaves in personal growth and character-building, crucial elements in goal-setting that homeschoolers value deeply. Students are taught the skills of goal-setting and strategic planning; when they set goals whether it’s mastering a math concept, writing a research paper, or reading a certain number of books—they learn to take ownership of their education. Homeschooling allows for this type of personalized, goal-oriented learning in a way that traditional models often can’t.

PROGRAM  COMPONENTS

Maximum effectiveness is achieved when the Personal Development Process is integrated into your homeschooling program, and not treated as a one-time event or special course. The goal is to make it a routine part of learning either every other day or weekly, this will help students develop a comprehensive skill set for lifelong personal development.

The program and lessons are sectioned in three phases, Defining Who I AM, Creating a Vision and Developing a Road Map to Success.

There are 40 lessons in total, each of which can be customized to fit your existing programming. Please note: some lessons may take more than one sitting to complete, and others will involve career research and college planning. You’ll have a teacher’s manual with a lesson plan to guide you, and students will have their own journals where they’ll complete all activities.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

  • Defining Who I Am — Taking a Personal Inventory Character Building: Respecting Others and Myself

Your child will begin by exploring their inner strengths, interests, and values. This foundational step helps them recognize what makes them unique and how their personal qualities can shape their future. You'll support them in identifying goals and considering how their talents and passions might align with future careers. As part of character development, you’ll discuss how respect for self and others can be a powerful tool in resolving conflict and building positive relationships.

  • Helping Students Create a Vision Character Building: Making Decisions

Using the insights gained from their personal inventory, your child will begin to create a vision for their future. Together, you’ll set short-term academic or personal goals, learn how to prioritize, and create timelines for achievement. Activities such as role-playing and guided discussions will help them practice decision-making skills in realistic scenarios, reinforcing the importance of making thoughtful, values-based choices.

  • Creating a Personal Road Map Character Building: Responsibility

At this stage, your child will focus on time management and goal planning. You'll help them connect the dots between their vision, goals, and daily habits. Through age-appropriate discussions and activities, students will understand that shaping their future is a personal responsibility—one that begins with the choices they make today.
